This is a very interesting card, as a mana source and mid-range creature, for prismatic decks. Sadly, I've only seen it used to cheat - It was combined with an untap ability to generate unlimited mana ("Often winning the game outright!", as was said of "combo" decks in the tips written for Magic Arena). I can't remember how exactly he killed me, but the most popular thing to do with all that mana is to misuse the Expansion/Explosion blue/red card. Here's a perfect example of a great, fundamental idea being corrupted by a terrorist. While I can't blame the player completely (Wizards designers need to carefully eliminate loop-holes), I would never waste my time trying to do something like that. Making decks that create a 5/5 vigilant creature, that can tap for one mana of every color (potentially), would not be a waste of time. That would be a feat, a real accomplishment - Anyone who spends their time trying to figure the best way to cheat is just an antagonist. Strangely, most people are. In fact, I've never experienced ANYone else expressing these sorts of grievances about this game. Some people would probably agree with me, but no one would care to do what I'm doing here. Perhaps they imagine goons with clubs, searching for them, when they got word about someone with a big mouth on the loose. I think its just an excuse, really... Goons with clubs are mostly imaginary, anymore. |
