The basic purpose of this card's ability is to give it protection from non-creature

the mana for activation available, it can't be destroyed while attacking, during

your opponent's main phase, or when it needs to block a creature. It also

doubles as a trigger for spells that grant a reward when a creature, or a specific

creature type, enters the battlefield. In that case, your reward may be reaped

again and again. It will be a great asset to any illusion-type deck, so if you are

looking to build a force of creatures, primarily in blue, this card should be

considered and tested for viability, as an option. Any good formula needs a

low-end (casting cost) force of spells, and since you will necessarily be using a

lot of mana for the activation cost of its ability, a 3-cost should work out to utilize

more of your resources. I always try to give myself as many options and natural

combinations as possible, so check to see how well your deck can deal with

situations. If you find yourself getting stuck a lot, instead of trying to over-power

it for an increased chance of success, look at how you might have been able to

deal with it, using small spells that can quickly manipulate an outcome.
